Successful Life

How do you measure success? Particularly success in life.

While many of us refuse to admit that we use wealth as measurement, we are quick to conclude that so-and-so is successful because he/she upgrades to a bigger and nicer house than ours.

So is wealth, in particular money, a good indicator of success? To a certain extent, it is. For example, the best runner in the marathon gets the bigger prize (in term of monetary reward) than the second best runner. So in this case, money is a measurement for success.

Of course wealth is not the only indicator of a successful life. All of us would agree that having a healthy body and a healthy mind is another indicator of success. Especially so when we are able to maintain our good health despite living beyond a century.

So how to measure a successful life? Much will depends on what we want in life. The moment we get what we want in life, that's a successful life.

If we drift through life, always jealous and envious of others, yet dont know what we want, we definitely will not have a successful life.
