7 steps to Positive thinking

Positive thinking has the power to change your future. Positive thinking can make you happier right now. Positive thinking makes an unbearable situation bearable. Positive thinking shows you that life is great no matter what had happened.  Positive thinking is not empty thoughts.  Positive thinking is about using your brain power to push yourself to action.


Positive thinking helps to foster creativity. When you are in a negative mindset, you think only of how bad things are, and how worst things can be. When you are in the mindset of positive thinking, your brain cells will work hard to get you out of the current situation.

It is good to set up a personal goal everyday. You can tell yourself that the personal goal now is to cultivate positive thinking.

Positive thinking can turn you into successful person, and whatever you do will become easier and enjoyable.

Positive thinking is not easy if you are a pessimistic person. You have to work hard to change your mindset into positive thinking. You have to make conscious effort to control your thought patterns.

This blog post shares some methods of achieving positive thinking.

The first step to positive thinking is to take passionate action towards living your life. There is no point in talking since talk is cheap. There is no point in telling everyone that you want to lose weight, and you keep on watching TV, surfing the net and do not exercise or change your diet. You need to take passionate action to achieve what you want in life.

If you want to lose weight, then start now. You can take a 20 minutes walk immediately. You can start to eat healthy today. You do not need to talk so much, since action will show people what you want. They can see that you are losing weight. They do not need to hear all the empty talks.

The second step to positive thinking is to commit to yourself. You make commitment only to yourself.

You can promise yourself that you want to create a life for yourself. You can commit to love and to act, instead of passively reacting to changes. You can commit to the act of creating a better life from your heart and soul. You can commit to create a better life out of love for yourself and your loved ones.

The third step to positive thinking is to recognize and embrace the thought that every day is a gift, regardless of its outcome.

When you wake up in the morning, you can tell yourself that everyday is a gift. After all, some people do not wake up, and will never wake up. Some people wake up to see that their loved ones are no longer alive.

Whenever something extremely bad happens, you can accept it and try to get the situation under control.

You will be surprised that once you start to accept the situation, you will have so many ideas of changing the situation.

If you are not pleased with the result of your action, you can learn from your mistake and try another method.

Positive thinking does not mean just stupid thinking. Positive thinking is so powerful because it pushes you to take positive action.

The fourth step to positive thinking is to dwell on gratitude. You can learn to use the resources you have. If you are jobless, your resources are time and energy. If you are employed, your resources are income and job security.

No matter what is the situation, you must know what are the resources you have.

You can think of the resources you have at this moment and think of how to make use of the resources. You can shift towards gratitude, so that you learn to be thankful in whatever situation you are. You can turn away from poverty consciousness, and enter the stage of prosperity consciousness. That is the powerful effect of positive thinking.

The fifth step to positive thinking is to use the Passion Formula of Recognize, Reevaluate and Restore. This is a powerful action formula to solve problem. You should stay away from the mindset of the “should have, could have, would have”.

For example, you miss a turn and have to take a longer route to reach your destination. Instead of focusin on the “I should have made a turn just now”, you can focus on “I recognize my mistake. I can take the scenic route to reach the destination”.

Since you have missed the turn, there is no point in saying “should have”. What you should be focusing on is the way to get to your destination.

The sixth step to positive thinking is to use humor. You have to learn to laugh at yourself. You have to learn to accept the silly mistakes you make in life, and learn to laugh at your silliness.

You may find yourself an entertaining person, and that life is enjoyable.

It may not seem so funny to suffer a fall in front of a crowd. When you think about it, you can comfort yourself that you become the focus point for a few minutes.

The last step to positive thinking is to believe that you can create a better life.

Ancient Chinese were very positive about life. There is a saying in one of the famous four Classics that “Heavens must have a purpose in giving me so many talents, I must find a way to use them”.

This saying is as true today. So many people have negative views of themselves that they never think of utilizing their talents.

It is a waste of talents when you do not use them to the fullest.

A positive mindset will help you in utilizing the talent. You can think big. You can use your talent to crate a better life for yourself and for the whole world.

Positive thinking is about what you can do now, and what you can do in the future. Having a positive thinking of “can do” can push you to exert yourself and fulfill your potential.

  1. Positive thinking is as powerful as believe it to be. Great post i truly enjoyed reading it. I choose to be a positive thinker at all times. Recentley i got fired from my job and i was not upset at all i was positive the whole time.
