It Takes Only A Moment
While It Takes Only A Moment by Mary Jane Clark is interesting, the suspense element is not adequately utilized. The book focus on the media side of the story, and hardly anything on the FBI. Beside the two FBI agents in the house of TV professional, Eliza Blake, the other members of the FBI were not mentioned.
What I like about It Takes Only A Moment by Mary Jane Clark is the writing style. The writing style is simple and direct.
Eliza Blake was a professional, and It Takes Only A Moment by Mary Jane Clark
The chapters are very short, and encourage you to read through the book in a day. It is very fulfilling to keep on turning the pages and find that you are a quarter through the book within an hour. Most of us hate long chapter with long paragraphs that never seem to end.
It Takes Only A Moment by Mary Jane Clark
There is an unbelievable feature in this book. The psychic, Stephanie Quick, was the mastermind of the kidnapping of Janie, the seven years old daughter of Eliza Blake. However, the FBI brushed her aside, and did not even conduct a superficial search on her.
Since this book repeatedly mentions that FBI would look into anyone who knows or has anything to do with the kidnapping, no matter how remote. It seems surprisingly that FBI did not bother to look into the activities of Stephanie Quick.
The part about Nell and Rhonda did not really contribute to the plot of this book. I feel that substituting the effort of the FBI team will make It Takes Only A Moment by Mary Jane Clark a better book. It is common for the law enforcement team to spend time chasing false leads, and Nell and Rhonda are false leads. It is a time waster for the readers to read so many chapters about Nell and Rhonda.
Overall, It Takes Only A Moment by Mary Jane Clark
