Increase Wealth and Success by Alan Fensin

Increase Wealth and Success by Alan Fensin is an unique book in that it uses Tai Ji approach to explain business concept.

The Tai Ji approach means to yield a bit, and to ward off direct attack. Alan Fensin manages to apply the concept in all aspects of business, such as negotiation and sales training. It is better to yield on minor points, in order to win the major contract. Yielding is not the same as giving up. Giving up a few inches to gain a few miles is worthwhile.

In business, it is not necessary to win every single argument. If winning the argument means to offend the customers, the ultimate loser is you. That is why it is better to yield, and make the customers think they are right. As long as you can keep the customers, and they bring in sales, you are the ultimate winner even when you lose every single argument.

I find the first chapter of Increase Wealth and Success by Alan Fensin rather boring. It is a combination of lessons from The Science of Getting Rich and Think and Grow Rich. That is why I find the first chapter of Increase Wealth and Success by Alan Fensin extremely lengthy.

Once Increase Wealth and Success by Alan Fensin reaches the third chapter, the principle of yielding comes in. This principle of yielding is the theme of the later half of the book. It tells us the importance of flexibility. It teaches us to adapt to all kind of situations, and to ward off hostility.

  2. Hi Murk, I think those commercials make us feel guilty if we are not spending enough money on our loved ones.
That is why parents spend so much buying branded goods for their kids.
